Improved Andover Dog Park ropens following substantial renovations enabled by Stanton Foundation grant.
Renovations to the Andover Dog park are now substantially complete, and it will reopen for public use beginning tomorrow, Saturday, October 3. Significant improvements have been completed at the park, supported by a grant received by the Town of Andover from the Stanton Foundation.
The renovated park meets design standards established by the Stanton Foundation, which has supported the development of hundreds of dog parks across Massachusetts. Improvements include accessible parking and pathways, designated viewing areas, water stations, benches, a double-gated entry system, and a new shade structure.
While the park is now open for public use, a small number of finishing touches remain. Installation of the shade structure has been delayed due to supply chain issues and will take place once materials arrive from the manufacturer. Additional minor improvements will be completed over the next month without requiring the park to close. The Town appreciates the community's patience throughout the renovation process and looks forward to welcoming residents and their dogs back to the improved facility.
